Today is President Barack Obama's OFFICIAL first day on the job, his inauguration was yesterday and the crowds that attended his ceremony in Washington D.C. was astounding- to say the least.
Like so many others who believe in him, well- not just in him, but his beliefs that America can rise once again to be a great nation, I wish the new President well and have the utmost faith that how he chooses to govern this nation will not only say a lot about his great character, but that it will also speak volumes to how this country handles itself in the midst of ALL of the disasters that Bush allowed us to get in.
I don't care what anyone else says, Barack Obama stands right now- as the right man at the right time.
We should all give him our support, even if we didn't cast a vote for him.

I did not vote for Obama, but I do agree with you. We should be Americans before we are Republicans or Democrats. I just worry that no mere mortal man can live up to the expectations he brings. I really think the whole world wants him to solve every problem there is and to do it now! I just think we all need to be patient.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Obama will be a great leader for America and in time will remedy the current situation we face but I don't know if we will ever become that super power again.
ReplyDeleteI am glad people have started looking at the issues independent or Republicans or Democrats. This allows people to think objective irrespective of which party is in power.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to be part of this event and I'm so glad I was there to witness it. Can't wait to see all the great things that this new president will bring to this beautiful country.
ReplyDeleteI did not vote for President Obama, but I am completely behind him. I feel that we need to support the President no matter what party we support. The future will show us what type of President he is, but so far, I have to say that I am impressed with him and this is from someone who did not vote for him.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we've lost that super power that Linda has commented on. This is America and we have that unique ability to change our whole political system every four years. If we don't like it, we can throw the bums out. I think Obama will be great for the country, but what is up with all those lying, cheating crooks he named to be in his cabinet? They are draggin him down.
ReplyDeleteI believe Barack Obama has the potential to be a great leader, if we let him. After all this is a democracy not a dictatorship, which means all avenues of government have to work together for any progress to be made. People are quick to say, "The President did not keep his promises." before he has a chance to keep his promises. And in order for him to keep his promises everyone has to help and we are iin a mess and it's not going to be solved without a little pain all around. There are consequences to actions and consequences can be painful.
ReplyDeleteI think Obama will do us some good. We need to get back to work in this country. Enough with the bailouts though, lets get movin on health care.
ReplyDeleteI was pushing for Obama so needless to save was happy to see him in office. I really think that this man can make some things happen for the better. I know it is a long hard tough road ahead but I'm putting my faith in Obama.
ReplyDeleteI can not think of anyone that will have a busier first month or so on the job, not counting the entire year ahead. When I see his workload compared to mine I am a little more happy.

ReplyDeleteI did not vote for President Obama, but he has my full support. I hope he can turn the country around.
ReplyDeleteI didn't vote for President Obama but I was sure glad that I was able to be part of this moment in history. I really only hope he keeps all those promises.
ReplyDeleteObama has such an amazing presence about him. When he speaks he fully takes command of the room and you want to stop what you are doing and listen. I like to see that in a President. He has a lot of trials to overcome and I hope and pray that he does it. I know I sure wish him the best of luck!
ReplyDeleteThank Goodness, we finally have someone who may be able to do something about the economy! I am so glad to see a good man take the wheel that I may explode. I think if anyone would be able to put this country back on track, it would be Barack Obama. Go Man!

I think Obama is just what we need right now. With all the bad news we hear everyday, we all need some optimism and hope. And I don't think thats only in the US, I think the whole world needs hope for the future.
ReplyDeleteI voted for President Obama! I think he is just wonderful. I expect him to do great things for our country. I am so glad to see a Democrat back in office.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that the voices who are upset right now come to realize that this man is taking on more than most others have in the past. Having his hands full is an understatement with everything he has going on right now.
ReplyDeleteI think we will do great under President Obama. I think he has a very level head on his shoulders and it is a pleasure to see children in the White House again!

WooHoo! Go Obama! - Obama is the man. He had my vote from day one and I know it is bad but he is the only president I have ever voted for. I know that he can make a difference and I hope he does at least half of what I know he can!
ReplyDeleteObama is the man for sure. I knew from the first speech he gave and the first picture I saw of him that he would bring change to this country. I am looking forward to finding out exactly what Mr. Obama has brought to the table.
ReplyDeleteBeing as old as I am, I have seen many many things. But nothing has had a greater impact on my life than seeing Obama take office. This is a great country.
ReplyDeleteObama is one of the best leader we will have in this great country of ours, I just hope everyone gives him the full support he needs.
ReplyDeleteI don't share the view that he will be the savior of the world but I do agree that he will do a lot to make things better for millions of people worldwide.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't help but notice the resemblamce in all of Obama's Speeches. They are all so full of optimism and hope. I only hope he is the President we elected and expected him to be.
ReplyDeleteSo glad this man is President. I think highly of him and hope he doesn't fail America. I watched his speech last night and wow!!
ReplyDeleteI did not vote for President Obama. I am excited about his presidency though. I do think that people should not treat him as a "rock star". He's not a rock star. He is the President.
ReplyDeleteAll I wanted was a change, a fresh start for my generation and we got it, now I plan to support Mr. President as long as he continues to do right by us.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama has been in office a month now. How do you think he is doing? I think he is doing a great job. He seems be on the ball on things and is pushing to get things done.
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with Obama the first time I heard him speak. He reminds me of JFK. My Dad says he sounds like a preacher. I think he is doing a great job.
ReplyDeleteWhile I did not vote this year since for some reason my recent move and getting registered on time messed me up, I would like to see what this guy has in offer for us all. Hopefully its all good too.
ReplyDeleteMr Obama is one of the best thing that has happened to America in my lifetime. I have high hopes for him and he has my positive vote as he makes the necessary changes to America.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing that got me about Obama was his ability to deliver a speech and capture an entire audience. He looks like he really will bring something special to the table with his drive and views. Full Supporter!!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I did not vote for President Obama. I am a retired marine and felt that McCain had much more experience. Now that President Obama is in office, I will support him.
ReplyDeleteI have already heard talks that troops will be pulling out by next Aug. I think it is (not this year, but next). I think that is a step in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteHis speeches are pretty powerful and I wish the media would get off the kick about his wifes clothing choices. Its clothes, it is not mad headline news, other things are like the things he is trying to change for the better.
